Reduced Family Fees

"Well Come" members may enjoy reduced family fees, under these conditions:
A family in which at least one adult and one minor are "Well Come" members, will receive a 20% discount on monthly fees
A family in which Both adults and at least one minor are "Well Come" members, will receive a 30% discount on monthly fees
New members eligible for these discounts, will receive them from day one of their membership.
Any change in the family status (e.g. a family member enrolling or cancelling membership, divorce etc.) will lead to an update of fees, effective from the month in which the change occurred.
A member eligible for more than one discount (e.g. family and staying abroad), will always enjoy the lower fee. No multiple discounts will be given.
Family discount is for "Well Come" fees only, and does not apply to the supplementary insurances, nursing insurance or Keren Maccabi fees.
No retroactive discounts will be given.
The definition of "family" for the matter of discount is a nuclear family: parents and their minor children.

Overseas Discount

Those staying overseas for a minimum of 3 consecutive months are eligible to a discount of 75% on their membership fees during their overseas stay, under the following terms.

Clarifications for the overseas discount

The discount is only for the basic insurance membership fees and does not apply to nursing care insurance, supplementary insurance, or Keren Maccabi.

The discount is subject to the non-use of medical services and medications, and any other services provided by Maccabi during the period of overseas stay. The discount solely applies to those staying overseas, and does not apply to those who stay in Israel, even if they do not use medical services.

A rebate will be given from the month following the month of departure from Israel up to the month preceding the month of return. For example: someone leaving the country in March and returning in September will be eligible for a rebate for the months April-August.
The overseas discount will only be given retroactively on presentation of a passport in which the member's entrance and exit of Israel is marked at a Maccabi branch. In the case of those using biometric passport control or requests to realize members’ rights without visiting a Maccabi branch, an up to date confirmation from the Ministry of Interior of arrivals and departures from the country will be presented or sent to Maccabi.
A retroactive refund may be requested for a discount that was not given under the following conditions:
A. Regarding a period of no more than 12 months prior to the request from Maccabi.
B. Providing a written request.
C. The request must ne made within 3 months of the end of the period for which the discount is requested.
D. Presentation of a passport in the branch, including entry and exit stamps from Israel. As mentioned, in the case of those using biometric passport control or requests to realize members’ rights without visiting a Maccabi branch, an up to date confirmation from the Ministry of Interior of arrivals and departures from the country will be presented or sent to Maccabi.
E. Subject to, in that period, the member being eligible for the overseas resident discount, as said above.
F. Subject to not using, as said, any medical service during the period for which he wishes to claim an overseas discount.
Those staying in Israel are not eligible for the discount in any time period, even if there is no use of services. Non-use of medical services does not absolve the member of his obligations to pay fees at the full rate, and does not entail eligibility for the overseas discount.
There is no refund of membership fees for months in which no medical services were used.

Important Clarifications

Maccabi has the right to determine additions to the set fee in accordance with the medical condition of the person joining the Plan.
Payments are carried out by debit card or bank charge authorization in NIS only.
When joining the Plan and as a condition for completion of the process, the member will pay membership fees for the first four months, regardless of the length of registration requested. This payment shall be charged from the member in advance as a one-time fee. Payment for the first month will be collected according to the date in which the member joined Well-Come. Maccabi shall be allowed to require payment in advance for a longer period of time, at its own discretion.
Afterward, payment will be carried out with a direct debit charge performed on a predetermined date according to the Maccabi guidelines.
Members of the Plan who have paid in advance for a minimum period, whose status has been changed according to the National Insurance Institute to residents eligible for medical services according to the law, will be eligible for a shorter membership period and a refund of the difference for the period after their eligibility was reinstated.
In general, there is no refund for parts of a month, except for those who have completed the waiting period and become residents eligible for medical services according to the law.
"Well Come" members are obligated to make all deductible payments for services/treatment which Maccabi may collect in accordance with the National Health Insurance Law, and/or the collection programs authorized for Maccabi, and are not eligible for reductions and/or price ceilings and/or exemtions on deductibles that are available to Maccabi members.
Maccabi is entitled to surcharge a member of the "Well Come" programme if he paid the reduced rate (the overseas discount) and did not in fact satisfy the conditions for the reduced rate. The charge will be made on the payment method from which membership fees are paid to the programme.
The payment to the supplementary insurances, for the nursing insurance, and for Keren Maccabi will be charged in addition to the Plan's membership fees.

General

Maccabi may update and/or change from time to time the details of the Plan, including the rights of members of the Plan. The update and/or change as mentioned will apply immediately as published and will apply to all members of the Plan at that time, unless stated otherwise.
All provisions of the Plan will apply equally for every member of the Plan regardless of the health provider of which they were a member before joining the Plan, unless mentioned otherwise in the Plan regulations.
In addition to the Plan's regulations, the member shall be subject to the Maccabi regulations and rules.

In the event of a discrepancy between the wording used in this document and the original Hebrew version, the Hebrew version will prevail.
