How much does it cost?

At Maccabi centers

A deductible of 104 NIS .

At centers affiliated with Maccabi

    • From midnight to 7:00 a.m., applies a deductible of 24 NIS.
    • During the day, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., full payment will be required (varies by center; it's advisable to inquire in advance).
    • In the evening, from 7:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., applies a deductible of 104 NIS.
    • On Fridays and Saturdays, at all hours of the day, applies a deductible of 104 NIS.

Fee exemptions:

Requesting a doctor's referral to an emergency care center

    • The referral's validity for an emergency medical center varies based on the referring doctor (Maccabi, Tyto, or other) and the day it’s issued:
    • Sunday to Wednesday: Referral valid until 8:00 AM the next day
    • Thursday: Referral valid through Friday
    • Friday: Referral valid until 8:00 AM on Sunday
    • Holiday eve: Referral valid until 8:00 AM the day after the holiday
    • If you received a doctor's referral to an emergency care center by phone, the doctor must still issue documentation.
    • If you were referred to the emergency room by the center and subsequently hospitalized.
    • If a Maccabi doctor referred you to an emergency medical center on Friday-Saturday or a holiday.

Referral by clinical specialist nurse or home care nurse

    • If you're receiving at-home care and are referred by the nurse to an emergency care center operated by or affiliated with Maccabi.
    • Referrals by a clinical specialist nurse in any of these five areas are solely to Maccabi emergency care centers.

    • Diabetes

    • Wound, stoma, and incontinence

Medical treatment in emergencies

    • Injury necessitating stitches or dermal adhesive
    • Foreign object in the eye
    • Ingestion of an object or toxin
    • Hypoglycemia (≤60 glucose units) in juvenile diabetics
    • Fresh fracture
    • Cast from previous day needing repair
    • Dental damage
    • Inhalation of foreign object into respiratory tract
    • Shoulder, elbow, or jaw dislocation
    • Urinary retention requiring catheterization
    • Post-operative bleeding (up to 10 days after in-hospital surgery)
    • Chemical eye burn
    • Third-degree burn
    • Head injury, ages 70 and above
    • Familial dysautonomia patients
    • Life-threatening allergic reaction
    • Epileptic episode in epileptic patient
    • Sexual assault or domestic violence
    • Treatment for the following diseases:
    • Cancer
    • Hemophilia
    • Dialysis
    • Cystic fibrosis (CF)

Women

Pregnant women:

    • Contractions
    • Heavy bleeding
    • Sudden decrease in fetal movement during the third trimester (week 28 onwards)

Women undergoing fertility treatments:

    • Sunday through Thursday: only Pregnil and Ovitrel injections are administered
    • On Fridays and Saturdays: injections necessary for fertility treatment are administered

Toddlers and children

    • Head injury, ages two and under
    • Fever of 38.5°C or higher in infants up to 60 days old
    • Injury at kindergarten or school, or during a school trip. Confirmation from the kindergarten or school required

Snake or animal bite

    • Snake or scorpion bite
    • Animal bite - Bites must be reported to the Ministry of Health

Traffic accidents

    A confirmed traffic accident victim or one with confirmation from the police:
    • ER visit within 48 hours of the accident
    • ER visit within 3 to 7 days of the accident, upon presenting a casualty confirmation from the police, along with a discharge sheet from the emergency room
    • ER visit from the 8th day onward following the accident, only if a fee is required (visit between 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., or if there was a medical justification for the emergency room visit)

Work accidents

A work accident victim with employer confirmation (Form BL 250 or BL 283), provided that an ER visit occurred within 7 days of the injury.

Follow-up inquiries

    Follow-up inquiry to the center regarding a resolved issue. Eligibility varies based on the time of the initial inquiry:
    • Sunday through Wednesday: a follow-up inquiry on the same issue is permitted until 10:30 p.m. on the same day (subject to operating hours)
    • Thursday: a follow-up inquiry is permitted until Friday at 10:30 p.m. (subject to operating hours)
    • Friday or a holiday eve: a follow-up inquiry is permitted throughout Friday and Saturday, or on the holiday eve and the holiday itself
    • Saturday: a follow-up inquiry is permitted throughout Saturday only

Where is service provided?

At Maccabi centers or affiliated centers:

    • Children's center - urgent care for children
    • Adult center - urgent care for adults
    • Women's center - urgent gynecological care
    • Orthopedic Trauma Center - offers primary treatment for orthopedic injuries, including splinting or stabilization, and treatment of injuries requiring stitches or dermal adhesive.

    • The deductible payable at the center is lower than at the emergency room
