Flu vaccination is recommended for everyone, especially at-risk populations such as ages 65 and over, chronic disease patients, pregnant women, infants and children under age 12, and more.

Flu vaccines 2025-2026 season

Maccabi's flu vaccine campaign begins on 02.09.2025 and ends on 01.03.2026. The vaccines will be gradually distributed to all clinics nationwide.

Vaccination appointments will open as the vaccines arrive at the various clinics.

You can check the availability of appointments at the clinic nearest you on the Maccabi app, on the website, or via the call center.


When contacting the clinic for service, if there are symptoms such as fever, runny nose or cough, you must be ensure wearing mask throughout your stay at .the clinic

Who is eligible?

Maccabi members ages 6 months and up.



Flu vaccination is recommended for everyone
above 6 months

and especially for at-risk populations:

    • Members over age 50, and especially ages 65 and older

    • People with long-term illnesses (chronic patients)

    • People with obesity

    • Pregnant women

    • Postpartum women within 3 months after giving birth

    • Children aged 6 months and older with long-term illnesses

    • Infants and children from 6 months to 12 years old

    • Infants and children aged 6 months to 18 years receiving long-term aspirin therapy due to the risk of Reye's syndrome if they get the flu

    • People who reside and work in closed or semi-closed institutions, such as boarding schools, nursing homes, hospitals for long-term and mentally ill patients, psychiatric hospitals, prisons, institutions for developmental intellectual disabilities, and others

    • Healthcare workers, MDA and United Hatzalah volunteers, health professions students

    • Caregivers and volunteers who make home visits to high-risk individuals

    • Household members and primary caregivers of anyone over age 65 with a chronic illness or background thereof

    • People caring for babies under six months old

    • Workers in close contact with farmed or wild poultry

For what are they eligible?

Receiving a vaccine based on age, medical condition, and stock availability

You can receive one of the vaccines currently in stock, depending on age and medical indications:

    • From ages 6 months and older: inactivated vaccine via injection
    • From ages 2 to 49 (inclusive): live attenuated vaccine via nasal spray

A high-dose inactivated vaccine will be given by injection to patients and organ transplant recipients who have been hospitalized in the last two years:

    • Oncology patients with active disease
    • Organ transplant recipients 
    • Patients aged 65 and over with a medical record of heart failure or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)

    • A doctor's referral is not needed to receive the vaccine.
