Well-come Services Plan

The services offered in the Well-Come program are comparable to those outlined in the legally established health plan, with exceptions outlined below and subject to program regulations. The medical services are provided in Israel only.

Program members will not have eligibilities beyond those outlined in the legally established health plan in any circumstance.


The plan includes:

  • Primary medical services: family doctor, gynecologist and pediatrician appointments.
  • Professional medical services.
  • Dental treatments - up to 18 years old, a wide range of dental treatments with a low deductible.
  • Urgent care services, hospitalization, and referrals to the emergency room.
  • Elective hospitalization services.
  • Tipat Halav services - children’s health.
  • Tests at Maccabi institutes, including imaging, diagnosis, and gastroenterology institutes.
  • Laboratory tests.
  • Medication plan in accordance with state health insurance laws.
  • Psoriasis treatment at the Dead Sea.
  • Developmental therapy for children.

Program restrictions

The following services are not covered under the Well-Come program:

  • Hospitalization within the first three months of program membership, excluding urgent cases.

  • Treatment of prior conditions, including exacerbations.

  • Treatment for serious and chronic diseases as per Ministry of Health definitions within the initial 6 months of program membership.

  • You will not be covered for any birth-related treatments or examinations, including expenses for childbirth, newborn care (including premature births), hospitalizations due to pregnancy complications, abortions, or dilation and curettage procedures.

  • Fertility treatments.

  • Treatment directly or indirectly related to a traffic accident, in Israel or abroad.

  • Treatment directly or indirectly related to a work accident, in Israel or abroad.

  • Treatment and hospitalization for impotence and sexual dysfunction issues.

  • Treatment for mental health conditions, deliberate self-injury, or attempted suicide.

  • Treatment for injuries sustained from activities such as scuba diving, parachuting, hunting, skiing, and other extreme sports.

  • Treatment for injuries resulting from terrorism, acts of war, hostile actions, or criminal activities.

  • Treatment for diseases resulting from drug or alcohol consumption.

     

  • The restrictions in Section 1 do not apply to individuals who continuously maintained residency rights and joined the Well-Come program within one month of receiving a termination of residency letter, provided they joined before hospitalization or diagnosis of a chronic/severe illness.

Maccabi reserves the right to periodically update or modify program details, including member rights.
